Emma Dizon

Policy Analyst

Emma is a policy analyst at the Business Council of Alberta. She comes with experience as a public servant with the Government of Alberta where she contributed to the government’s Red Tape Reduction mandate and the Daylight Saving Time file.

Emma first completed a Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology, where she came to value the contributions of evidence-based research. Then, with a desire to bridge the gap between academic research and practical application, Emma studied Public Policy, recently completing her Masters at the University of Calgary. Her capstone research focused on the ease of doing business in Calgary and culminated in recommendations to make Calgary one of the most business-friendly cities in Canada.

As a born and raised Calgarian, Emma is fiercely passionate about creating a province she is proud to work and play in through thoughtful, effective, and inclusive policy.

When not in the office, you can find Emma trying to convince others to trek up the Rocky Mountains at 3 AM.

In the spirit of truth, reconciliation, and respect, we honour and acknowledge the lands upon which we live and work as guests, including the traditional territories of the First Nations in Treaties 6, 7, and 8 and the citizens of the Metis Nation of Alberta. We thank the First Peoples of this land, which we now call Alberta, for their generations of stewardship of the land, and we seek to walk together in the spirit of truth and reconciliation to build a shared future for all in Alberta.
