Competitiveness, growth, and Canada’s opportunity to lead on the agenda as one of the largest delegations of Alberta CEOs heads to Ottawa

Ottawa, Ontario—A delegation of business leaders from across Alberta arrives in Ottawa on October 2 to meet with Ministers, Members of Parliament, and senior government officials to share Alberta’s story and discuss Canada’s opportunity to lead globally and how Alberta can help Canada reach its goals in energy, emissions reduction, food, health, and more.

The delegation will be participating in dozens of meetings over the three-day mission. Key engagements include the Office of the Prime Minister, Clerk of the Privy Council, Ministers and senior officials, and other representatives from all three major national parties.

Key topics include:

  • Energy & Climate
  • Alberta’s Diverse Economy & Entrepreneurship
  • Economic Growth & Competitiveness
  • Transportation & Infrastructure

The delegation, which is one of the largest coordinated efforts from Alberta in memory, includes over 50 chief executives, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders from organizations of all sizes. The delegation is led by a consortium of Alberta economic developers, chambers of commerce, and policy organizations including Business Council of Alberta, Calgary Chamber of Commerce, Calgary Economic Development, Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, and Edmonton Global.

The delegation will be in Ottawa until October 4, 2023.
