The Council is a non-partisan, non-profit entity that does not receive funding from any level of government.

Council members are the chief executives and leading entrepreneurs of the province’s most significant enterprises, and proudly represent the majority of Alberta’s private sector investment, job creation, exports, and research and development. Collectively, our members employ over 200,000 Albertans and invest billions in our economy annually.

Becoming a Member

Membership is by invitation and application. It is intentionally restricted to a limited number of top leaders. The Council’s focus is on medium and large businesses, with significant interest in the overall prosperity of the province.

Our members support and are focused on working together to deliver shared prosperity for Albertans. It is not about how they can profit from membership; it’s about what we can accomplish together for the good of the province.

Formative

The Council is still forming and seeking to grow the representation of all major industries and geographies in the province. We are intentionally growing our membership, seeking to ensure the right mix of a limited number of leaders, and it will take time to reach our full scale.
