Business Council of Alberta announces the appointment of Lauren Stewart as Vice President, Communications & External Relations

Calgary, Alberta —November 20, 2025 — The Business Council of Alberta is pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren Stewart as Vice President, Communications & External Relations. 

“Lauren’s expertise in strategic communications, combined with her deep understanding of Alberta’s economic landscape and diversity of sectors, make her an outstanding addition to our team,” said Adam Legge, President of the Business Council of Alberta. “She will play a key role in strengthening BCA’s voice and advancing solutions that benefit Albertans.” 

Lauren brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications, media relations, issues management, and stakeholder engagement across the energy, aviation, technology, and regulatory sectors. She has led high-impact teams, guided organizations through complex and high-profile issues, and built trusted relationships with industry, government, and community partners. 

“I’m excited to join an organization that is bringing thoughtful leadership, strong collaboration, and real solutions to some of Alberta’s most important challenges,” said Lauren Stewart. “This is a pivotal time for our province, and I’m committed to helping bring business, government, and communities together to grow prosperity for all Albertans and Canadians.” 

In this role, Lauren will lead BCA’s communications strategy, strengthen the organization’s public voice, and support meaningful engagement with members, policymakers, media, and Albertans.
