Who We Are
Building the future of Alberta—together.
We go beyond the traditional “think tank” model to create policy in action, working with policymakers, collaborators, and decision-makers to drive real, positive change for Albertans.
From the natural beauty of mountain vistas, boreal forests, and endless prairie skies to the natural resources that formed the bedrock of Alberta’s economy to the can-do and entrepreneurial spirit of the people, Alberta is an incredible place.
We love our province and all those who call it home, and we want to leave it better than we found it, so we are boldly carving a prosperous future for Albertans—to make life better.
And we believe that thriving business can play a big part of making life better for Albertans.
That means building businesses that create meaningful employment, meet needs, contribute to economic growth, protect the environment, build strong health and education systems, and ultimately create better opportunities for everyone.
Who We Are
Composed of the chief executives and leading entrepreneurs in Alberta, we are a non-partisan, for-purpose think tank located in the heart of Western Canada.
We harness the experience and expertise of our CEO members, partnerships across Alberta and Canada, and deep expertise in public policy and economy to develop innovative policy solutions, shape government decisions, and spread insightful ideas for prosperity.
What We Do
Thoughtful, pragmatic, and inclusive ideas to build social and economic prosperity.
Engaging policymakers on ideas and solutions to the toughest challenges facing Alberta and Canada.
Bringing Alberta’s business leaders together to discuss challenges and opportunities for Alberta.
Our Policy Approach
We go beyond government mandates and economic cycles to develop long-term solutions to our big challenges. As such, we only work on a few core policy items each year structured around two major areas of focus.
Our success as a province hinges on the participation and prosperity of all. Prosperity begins with a good job and future opportunity. To achieve this, we must grow the economy, create jobs now, and equip Albertans to do them better than anyone else on earth.
Sustainability requires that we meet the food, fuel, and fibre needs of the world today, and for decades to come, while also setting up our province and the world even better for future generations to meet their own needs. This means building Alberta as the province of challenge-driven innovation and industry, and one that is truly an economic and ESG leader.
